Los Angeles Kings
Today my blog is going to be about the Los Angeles Kings. The Los Angeles Kings are our local professional hockey team. They play all of their home games at the Staples Center. The Kings have won two Stanley Cups in total. The Kings were founded in 1967. They used to play all of their home games at The Forum , until 1999 when they moved to the Staples Center. Currently, their Captain is Dustin Brown and their head coach is Darryl Sutter. The Kings team colors are black, silver, and white. The Kings have had many players inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The names of these players are Paul Coffey, Jake Milford, Peter Demers, Bob Millet, Marcel Dionne, Larry Murphy, Dick Duff, Roger Neilson, Grant Fuhr, Bob Pulford, Wayne Gretzky, Larry Robinson, Harry Howell, Luc Robitallie, Red Kelly, Terry Sawchuk, Brian Kilrea, Steve Shutt, Jari Kurri, Billy Smith, and Jiggs McDonald. Oakland Athletics
Today my blog is going to be about the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics are a professional baseball team that is based in Oakland, California. The Athletics play all of their home games at O.co Coliseum. They share this stadium with the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are the professional football team that is based in Oakland. The Athletics have won 9 World Series. They didn't always play in Oakland. They were founded in 1901 as the Philadelphia Athletics. They played in Philadelphia until 1955, when they became the Kansas City Athletics. Then in 1968, they moved to Oakland. Currently, their mascot is an elephant. Their team colors are green, gold, and white. The Athletics have retired a few numbers. These numbers are 9, 24, 27, 34, 43, and 42. I hope you enjoyed my blog today about the Oakland Athletics.
